A few of my Ted Baker beauty essentials

Girls, we all love a bit of Make-up and each and every one of us have some beauty brands which they totally love and have essentials from. Yes, I'm not so much of a beauty queen like most girls and still manage to have a fair amount of make-up to get me by from different brands. I bet from looking at most of my post that you all can tell how I totally adore clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories more and due to this don't own as much makeup as some of you girls.

There's actually one thing that springs into my mind when I think of Ted Baker Beauty and that's the makeup sets that they do each and every year around the Christmas time. Last years was Ted Baker Brilliance of Beauty Gift Set which can be seen in my previous post by clicking on the pink title.

Most of these Make-up Ted Baker Essentials come from my last year set and a few bought separately. I just totally love, love, love their Make-up sets as they are a bargain for a whole lot of what you can get within the set and they are still lasting me from Christmas plus the odd bits I bought since. If I must say I'm rather proud of how long this Make-up is lasting me. Well, then again I don't use it every day as I go to work and it is mostly used on the weekend depending on my look. It may look like Ted Baker is the only brand I love and use but in all honesty its not.

Essentials from my Ted Baker Make-up are: 2 Lipsticks (Red and Nude), 2 Lip & Check Tint, Blusher Compact, Eye Shadow Compact, 3 Nail Varnish (Nude, Grey, and Cherry Red). And also my pretty Ted Baker Bag in the background.

How to spot fake Christian Louboutin Shoes

How to spot a fake pair of Louboutins...

In this “How to spot a fake..” review I will explain how you can spot the difference between a counterfeit and authentic Christian Louboutin
shoes.
If you want to be sure that the designer item you own or want to buy is authentic, please continue reading. I can help you authenticate your designer Louboutins. In my opinion, it’s better to be safe than sorry!

Basic Information -

Christian Louboutin opened his first opened his 1st woman's boutique in Paris in 1991,  www.christianlouboutin.com is the only legitimate name with the word 'Louboutin' in it. Any other name with the word is likely to be selling replicas. Through this link, you can verify if a website if its genuine or not http://eu.christianlouboutin.com/nl_en/stopfake. Make sure to avoid websites advertising Louboutin outlets.

Red Soles -

Believe it or not, you cannot tell whether a Louboutin is authentic or not just by looking at the colour of the soles! First, because the look of the red soles changed over de years and second because Louboutin shoes are handmade and manufactured in different factories. Therefore the soles
of an authentic pair of Louboutins can be orangey red, lipstick red, deep red and everything in between! However, all Louboutin heels have red soles that are made from leather and not plastic and therefore should look glossy. NOTE: just because the red soles are marked as leather (and YES some older authentic Louboutin models have a Vero Cuoio stamp! (leather marking) doesn’t mean it is leather.

Stamp -
1) Christian Louboutin: The loop of the “L” must almost touch the rest of the “L”. However, most replica has a notable space in between. As I already said: Louboutins are handmade in different factories and therefore can have different fonts!

2) Vero Cuoio: a Louboutin with a Vero Cuoio stamp isn’t automatically fake, because older authentic models do have this stamp! However, if you see a current model (like Guerilla) with this stamp, the shoe is fake. The Vero Cuoio stamp can vary in font, depth and outline!

3) “Made in Italy”: The “Made in Italy” should be engraved in capital letters and should not be written as one word “MADE IN ITALY”.
4) Size: authentic Louboutin shoes (except for the espadrilles!) come in half sizes (1/2 and NOT,5!) and they always have the EU sizes (38 and NOT 5). Replica’s often come in full sizes and full heel sizes because it’s cheaper to manufacture. If you look at the websites that sell replicas you will most likely see heel sizes 100,120,140 and not 85. And the same goes for the shoe sizes: 38,39,40 and not 38 1/2.

Inside Stamp-
On the inside of an authentic pair of Louboutin heels, you will find a “Christian Louboutin Paris” stamp. However, SOME of the models which were manufactured in the early ’90 don’t have the word “Paris” on the inside. Also, the font and size of the stamp changed over the years. So please don’t focus on that.

The colour of the inside of Louboutin heels isn’t always beige. For example, the bridal collection has a baby blue inside sole to represent ‘something blue’ for brides and some models have (full) colour soles.

Stitching -

Authentic Louboutin shoes should have perfect and consistent stitching. As you can see in the pictures of the fake the stitches are too wide and sloppy.

Also, some replicas have a tab/overlap on the top of the seam on the back. Authentic BASIC models like Pigalle don’t have that.

Overall look -
Louboutins should be considered “Pure Art”. The lines should be refined, sexy and feminine (I hope this makes any sense!) If you look at the fake Daffodile and Pigalle you can see that the lines are buckled and NOT sexy.
Replica often has a thin black band at the shoe part of the sole. However, some authentic models have a black band! I suggest that you Google the model to see which colour the band should have.

Box and Dust bag-

Authentic Louboutins come in a FIRM beige box with white “Christian Louboutin Paris” written on top of the box.

On the inside, you will find one or two red dustbags. NOTE: The dustbags and the shoes are sent from the factories to the stores separately. The SA should place the dustbag inside the box. Therefore it can happen that you receive a white dustbag instead of a red one. The amount of dustbags depends on where you bought the shoes. Some Louboutin resellers add one dustbag and others two.

The dust bags should be made of thick almost velvet(ish) soft material and should have the “Christian Louboutin Paris” logo in black on top. Also on the little dustbag! As you can see in the picture of the fake dust bags it looks more like polyester. If your shoes have spikes you will also find extra spikes in a small red dustbag. The flat side of all the studs should have “CL” engraved

Authentic Louboutins do NOT come with (red) plastic authenticity cards or cards stating they guarantee the materials are of “high quality”. Also, the extra heel napes should be in the small red dust bag and not in a plastic bag. If you see an ad with one of the above-mentioned cards or cheap plastic bags, do not bother to authenticate the shoe, because it’s fake!

My Michael Kors Frankie Sneakers Bargain

Everyone who knows me knows I'm not really a big fan of trainers and only owe few pairs. Well, that would be a lie as this is now just slightly less than a few. Welcome home new shoes, come and join my shoe collection as it keeps on getting bigger.

Michael Kors is known for its luxury goods and over the last years has been very popular with us standard normal working people who cant afford the very expensive designer goods yet still want a big designer brand label item.  I have however noticed that the brand Michael Kors has slightly decried its popularity with us this year. Despite the fact I can still pick out odd goodies from Michael Kors and say they look lovely. I can say that I myself don't actually owe any more than four things from the Brand and don't intend to buy more soon unless something particularly catches my eye specifically.

This Pair of Michael Kors Frankie Sneakers are actually such a pretty pair of trainers for some who isn't so keen on trainers and this is because they are so girly with the gold texture and baby pink colour. Making these Sneakers ideal to wear on your feet when going somewhere that you will be walking around a lot and still feel stylish and fashionable.

The material on these Michael Kors Frankie Sneakers is leather material with leather lining and rubber soles.

I can say I am more than happy with the bargain I grabbed myself on these sneakers. They are originally priced at £130 and gone on sale to £69.  I can say that this is a pretty good price for Michael Kors. Yet I managed to find them even cheaper on:

The price of there being £59 and when I checked out and made an account with Shoeaholic.com I even managed to get a welcome discount code on top of the sale price. So the 15% off which meant I only had to pay a total price around £50 and a £5 delivery charge which is a big bargain for a designer item like this in my eyes. No matter the delivery cost, it still worked out cheaper through this website. I couldn't be happier with the discount and price found.

I would highly recommend going on Shoeaholic.com and having a look there for yourself. You might just like a pair of shoes for yourself and grab a bargain like me.
